Countdown to New Jersey

We are sooooooo excited to go see Granpy and Grandma Skidmore on June 6th. If anyone has ideas on what my kids can do in truck for 16 hours straight. Let me know. I am in desperation and need. I have two games and movies. But I really need more ideas so comment and let me know!!!

Discovery Center

I took the kids to the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro, Tn. And here is some of the many things we did...... We love this place, I am thinking about getting a season pass.

OK, so a couple of weeks ago many of you know we got a flat tire in the truck, flat is an understatement, I tore a whole in the tire. I am so glad that Spencer is learning to change tires, because we sure could of used his skill then. This is too handsome of my little man, very big of him. Spencer has really gotten into writing and making books lately, here he is writing and coloring in a new book he is making.

This rocking horse was by far Jayden's favorite thing at the Discovery center it was near impossible to get her off of it. People we starting to look..... When I so graciously pried her off of the horsey. Looks like we will be investing in horse back riding lesson in the very near future.

Look at my two turtles!! Oh how cute!! To bad they don't have the same speed as a turtle I would then be able to keep up with them. But then again, that would be too boring. I am glad most of the time that my kids are so active and have such enthusiasm for life and are excited about everything!

This is the water works area. We had so much fun getting wet!!! And learning about how water can be a great source of energy!! But mainly to get wet and have fun in, come on people, water is recreation!!! Right!!

Cydney and Spencer are having so so so much fun getting there feet wet and finding tadpoles in the river. Cydney managed to just get her feet wet but Spencer was drenched he kept on falling over. It was pretty funny, I thinkg by the 2nd time he thought it was funny, and I said it was time to go before things got a "little" out of hand, can you imagine???

My B-day!!!! Just so you know I am only 21!!

Ok, so I am really a little older than 21. But I look it right!! Anywho, I started my day out great we had Spencer's Birthday party that day and Kurt was able to get work off. Well, I (at the very last minute) decided to get a trim, well, I figured if I showed a picture and told her I was growing out my hair she would get the jist and not butcher it well if you keep on scrolling you will see what I mean. It is not too bad, but I have bangs very, very, very, very, very, very short ones!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! So, needless to say I will be pinning them back for months till they grow back out. I have also vowed never to let anyone touch my hair again. In January my wonderful hair was scorched, and now it is butchered. Tennessee hairstylists are crazy!!!!!!!!! Anywho, Iwas in tears, if you know me I never cry I tend to laugh hard and loud. Well, I was crying really bad at the salon and was all the way home. It was probably a combo of hair/getting younger/ girl time/ really tired/etc......
So, to get off my soap box thanks to Jonana Kurt was able to take me on this treasure hunt date, it was awesome and made me feel better. Well, one of our stops downtown was at the Cadillac Ranch where we listened to this guy sing, he was actually quite good. We had a soda there.

TRIBUTE TO CYDNEY

Cydney say cheese!! I think she is not very vain, she just likes the camera (so does not get that from me, more like her aunt nana!!)

As you can tell it was really hot at the Zoo that day... She was dying hence the haircut in the following picture.

Cydney and Isis getting ready to go to the Hannah Monatana movie!! We had sooo much fun. It was kind of scary that is the day that the Tornado hit Murfreesboro it was a F4. We drove down to Murf to get some cake at Julia's Bakery and got stuck in traffic, not realizing that is where the tornado hit. We got to see all the damage it was really sad. But we still had lots of fun on our girls outing! :)

Cydneyis such a good little mommy helping with Jayden all the time and encouraging Spencer to "clean your room" "eat your food" and "go to your room." She is great at everything she does. She is reading 3rd grade books, she is at the top of her class with reading, math, and is always very helpful to her teacher. She is the tallest girl in her class. She loves chocolate. She is a singer, dancer, she wants to be Hannah Montana, a mom, a doctor, when she grows up. Kurt claims she is a daddy's girl, but in real life, she loves me more and just doesn't know it.......

She is loving first grade. Her favorite thing to say is " Stop treating me like a child, I am not a child anymore..." Then 10 minutes later she says " I can't do that I am just a child..." Go figure... She is very dramatic and I absolutely love it. She is very fun to be with when she has had sleep. She is our adorable red head.. I love you Cydney!!!! Love Mom

Tribute to Spencer

My handsome little boy turns five on April 6th. We celebrated a little early, but he totally did not mind at all. All these pics are from within the last year. From like summer of 2008 to now. I should have started from the top to bottom and finished with him at age 5 but I am still not very good at the blogging thing.
Spence here is opening one of his presents he got and loving it.!!!!

Ok, this is how Spencer wanted to take his picture in the first place when Grandma Skidmore got this suit for him for his 5th b-day. But then I made him turn around...........

Spencer does the coolest tricks on this big wheel. He races down our driveway and does two or three 360's at the bottom of the cultisac. And sometimes he fly's up and into the neighbor's yard. It is really funny and I am crossing my fingers he won't get hurt. But if you know him, he always gots some kind of bruise or scar or bump from doing something daredevilish! (No broken bones YET though.... knock on wood.....)

Here he is getting his dose of sugar, you know for the down moments of non-terrorizing the house. But look closely and you can see his CTR ring. If only that worked with bedtime and staying close to mommy at Target instead of running up and down the aisle screaming at the top of his lungs... just for fun.

Anywho that is all the pics I have on this computer to show you of this last year as being 4 years old. Boy is he ever growing up to be a little man. He still wears his Spiderman costume. But not every minute of every day any more. Once in awhile he will wear it to Super Target or to another store, he always get a "wow!! look there is Spiderman!" from lots of passerbyers. He loves transformers, bionicles, legos, dinosaurs. His favorite shows are Scooby Doo, Sid the Science kid on PBS, Magic the School Bus, and any super hero show. He absolutely loves to learn about the body, loves to look at all my medical stuff, and loves to learn about muscles, bones, blood. He currently has a catepillar as a pet. Asked for a half wolf, half dog for his graduation present (from high school). He still has TONS and TONS of energy to out last all 5 of us put together. He can right his name, the alphabet, his numbers, read a couple of words draw snakes, houses, people, and all sorts of crazy things. He absolutely loves to go to church and "get candy" from his new teacher, so he said in his testimony last fast and testimony meeting in front of the whole congregation. It was too cute. We will be having a big party for him and his friends here on the 18th, he is really excited, I just need to send out the invites. There is soooo much more I could write but there is not enough space. I am just so thankful that this little guy is in our family. He is so much fun and most of the time has the hugest smile on his face or does the funniest/craziest things, he is also a very caring and loving big and little brother anyone could ask for.

Outside Play!!

Here are some newer pictures of the cutie pies out playing in the circle while the weather is warm for a day.
We have been having the strangest of weather out here in good ol' Tennessee. One day it is 74 to 78 degrees the next it is 40 and snowing. Weird I know.
Well Conference was awesome of course, Joanna and Quinn came up and watched it with us, so we celebrated Spence's Birthday early. it was way fun, we had some super yummy barbeque beef and chicken sandwiches and some yummy cookies and mini cupcakes (without the stick) :)
